I know about nVidia cards that they're workin' fine under Linux, BUT they're not supported by their maker on fbsd, perhaps m$ sells a little bit bigger number of licenses :-) And, when Linux's popularity has grow too much, they decided that a binary could be enough for the users of one variant in the unix world. At this time I don't use a nVidia graphics card, and I do not intend to do so. Thanks to developers from XFree, we can see something on our X displays using the "nv" driver, and i'm tired to wait nVidia to release a driver for everybody. Long live to: ATI, Matrox, and even SiS :-) [note: i use a Matrox graphics card, and it works great: agp 2-4x, DRI, DRM, OpenGL, perhaps D3D - emulated- if i'll try a little bit :-)]
