Is there and application like "Secunia PSI" for *nix ?

Hi, I wonder if there is a program like "Secunia PSI" for Linux?
(And yes I've searched for it, without any success obviously)
For those of you who don't know what it is here's a description:
Code:
The Secunia PSI is a free security tool designed to detectvulnerable andout-dated
programs and plug-ins which expose your PC to attacks. Attacks exploiting
vulnerable programs and plug-ins are rarely blocked by traditional anti-virus and are
therefore increasingly "popular" among criminals.

PSI - Consumer - Products

Thanks in advance

\Best Regards

It's pretty much useless on Linux, since almost all current distributions allow you to automatically update the system to the latest security patches, including all applications and plugins installed through the package manager.

Thanks for the reply...

Thats my initial thought too, like you said. But what about applications that aren't installed through the package manager, like Adobe Flash? I installed it through Firefox, but maybe it uses the package manager too?

Adobe Flash wasn't able to install itself with Firefox on my system, I installed it with the package manager.

Maybe. What's your system?

In any case that's user-code, not running with elevated privileges.
