I need to change the time on my SUN box, it is five minutes fast.

To change it check out the date command ( man date).

To keep in synced (if connected to a network/Internet), check out ntp (try man xntpd). Look in /etc/rc2.d for S74xntpd to see if it's attempting to start on boot. If it is running, check your /etc/inet/ntp.conf to verify it's looking for the correct ntp servers ( list of ntp servers can be found at freebsd.org )

Thank you, I was looking more for being able to sync the time to an outside source such as ntp.ucsd.edu

Looks okay - I would suggest getting more than one ntp server in the list to look at...
