Opus Healthcare provides Web-based software solutions for doctors, nurses, therapists, and healthcare support staff. Recently, Opus moved from Unix on Hewlett-Packard hardware to a mixture of different Linux distributions on Intel. Opus CEO and co-founder Tim Rhoads says it has been a "bottom-up" transition, driven by the company's development staff.

Hello, I want to migrate from application that was compiled with Sun 4.2 compiler with C++ standard library(libCstd.so.1) to STLport(libstlport.so.1) library.        The  sane-niash implements a SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy) backend that provides access to NIASH chipset based scanners. This backend will

CONFIGURATION

       The niash.conf file is meant for future configuration options.  Empty lines and lines starting with a hash mark (#) are ignored.  Currently
       no configuration options exist.

FILES

       /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-niash.a
	      The static library implementing this backend.

       /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-niash.so
	      The shared library implementing this backend (present on systems that support dynamic loading).

CAVEATS

       If you use a
       Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 3400c or
       Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 4300c
       together with Linux kernel 2.6, kernel version 2.6.8 or newer is necessary.

ENVIRONMENT

       SANE_DEBUG_NIASH
	      If the library was compiled with debug support enabled, this environment variable controls the debug level for this backend.  Higher
	      debug levels increase the verbosity of the output.

	      Example: export SANE_DEBUG_NIASH=255
