How to recover unsaved file, form Ubuntu?

Hello,

I have ubuntu 11.04, my machine got restarted, how can i recover unsaved data, i have spend lot of hours on that file. I searched in hidden file, but not able to see these file. Spend hours but result are "0".

I have googled most of them are saying that you might have a copy of file with ~ sign which can help. But unfortunately no copy file is there.

Please help, does any have any idea how to recover unsaved data.

Risk taken, and succeeded !!

Hi zaxxon,

I am using open libre writer, file was in .csv format which was not getting open from other software. I had taken a chance, and tired copying in other folder, when i opened, it prompted me for recovery option !! and luckily i got my data back Smilie

Thanks Linux Smilie
