Hi,
I am facing problem with "mail" utility on redhat linux.
If I use ~c in a file and use that file as imput to mail, the mail is not sent to the adrress after ~c. Instead ~c apears in the mail content itself.
$ mail a@mycompany.com < temp
$ cat temp
~c abc@mycompany.com

I am trying to use Linux mail command on red hat linux. It is working fine except when there is hardcoded "\n" characters in the file content i want to send. It is literally taking "\n" as text and message is not getting formatted to give newliine effect.

I have no root access enabled on our linux server due to safety issues. We use sudo. When I change my password using passwd command, I sometimes get issues where I can't log back in.

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit. I would like to execute a command in two or more servers (multiple remote hosts) in parallel. The commands "shmux" or "on" are not available in Ubuntu. Could anyone tell me what other equivalent commands available in Ubuntu to accomplish this task? (1 Reply)

How to attach a file in Linux mail command
Hi Guys,
Is there any way to attach a file in Linux mail command without using "uuencode"?
i.e.
