how to browse the website which uses windows media player?

Hi all,
you know some websites use the windows media player to play video,how can i browse these websites in Ubuntu?Any plugin?Smilie

I'm sure there are many. Look for gecko-mediaplayer.

Thanks for your reply.I installed gecko-mediaplayer in the ubuntu,and i use the google Chrome browser,it seems i still can't listen those audios of mp3 format on those websites.should i configure my browser?

You need a media plugin in your browser, not just a media player on your system.

You may need both (and often do) need both. Google Chrome is Google Chrome... my solution was for Firefox. Best bet is to ask Google how to best do this.

Chrome can handle SOME HTML5 video without issue.... but not old style embedded windows media player (except maybe on windows).... you may want to switch browsers.
