Problem with Mutt!
HI i am using Ubuntu 10.10.
I tried to install Mutt downloaded from 'ftp://ftp.mutt.org/mutt/mutt-1.4.2.3.tar.gz'.
I tried to configure and make install.
I was successful to configure is note but make install is giving me make not found error.
How to successfully install please tell.

I tried the above it tried to install and download, but after that I am unable to man mutt or use it.

Following is the error I am getting after apt-get install mutt, apt-get install mutt-patch and apt-get install postfix :

Code:
E: Could not get lock /var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock directory /var/cache/apt/archives/

Another page I am getting is of postfix page containing packages for selection for which I am unable to get out no matter what I tried
Please help!

I will appreciate if somebody have some clue about that problem.

That's not a problem with mutt. Did you pre-pend the sudo command to apt-get? Because a regular user doesn't have the permissions to install anything, which is why sudo is needed to temporarily elevate those permissions.

did you use the apt commands with a "sudo" in front? maybe you should use the graphical tools for package management like "aptitude" or "synaptics".
