Root missing
I freshly installed Ubuntu 10.10. I installed it with my own login name.
I gave this full access. But while executing init command on terminal it asked me for root prompt.
I tried to enter the same password of that custom login but it didn't passed.
It is giving me wrong password error.
So how can I unlock my root account or any other remedy for this problem.

The root account on Ubuntu is disabled by default by using a random password. You'll have to login as your regular user, and run sudo passwd root from Terminal.

You can get root rights by typing:
