fast data access mmu miss

hello,

before i have install solaris 9, is good.
I would like to install Ubuntu 10.04 on a Sun Blade 150 blade.
I create cdrom iso burning with a 10x
was open I made a boot ok: boot cdrom

I get the following error:
fast data access mmu miss
i do
probe-ide all
reset-all

always
fast data access mmu miss

i try with hardy heron 8.04., the silo start but after i have
this message >> booting linux >> keyboard blocked

there are an distribution ubuntu special for blade 150?

Are you talking about the Sun Blade 150 Workstation with the UltraSPARC II CPU? And is the Ubuntu you downloaded the i386 or amd64 edition? If the answer to both questions is "Yes", then you're out of luck, as the Intel i386 architecture isn't compatible with the SPARC.

Otherwise, there's a SPARC version of the server edition of Ubtuntu, based on (at least) the UltraSPARC T1.

i use ubuntu sparc distrubution server !!!
i try with ubuntu-8.04.1-server-sparc.iso
and lucid-server-sparc.iso for ubuntu lts 10.04
you can verify but debian and ubuntu have a sparc 's distrubution
i have an ultra 5 on ubuntu
search to the net at
Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS (Hardy Heron)

ubuntu is not reserved for i386 or amd64 paltforms

it is ultra linux

I hope to post in the right forum, otherwise I apologize for this. if a MMU exception is caused by a process which tries to access to other memory segment (out of its own address space) what the kernel does in this case ? maybe kernel kills the "bad" process ? (2 Replies)
