You want to use Blastwave's pkgutil. It was pkg-get until very recently but pkg-get has some issues with not being entirely open source. Anyway:

Code:
pkgadd -d http://blastwave.network.com/csw/pkgutil_i386.pkg

If you are using x86

Or:

Code:
pkgadd -d http://blastwave.network.com/csw/pkgutil_sparc.pkg


If you are a purist.

After that:

vi /etc/opt/csw/pkgutil.conf

You want to make:

# Mirror to use for downloads
# See http://www.blastwave.org/mirrors.php for alternative mirrors
# Default: http://blastwave.network.com/csw/unstable
#mirror=http://blastwave.network.com/csw/unstable


into:

# Mirror to use for downloads
# See http://www.blastwave.org/mirrors.php for alternative mirrors
# Default: http://blastwave.network.com/csw/unstable
mirror=http://blastwave.network.com/csw/unstable

Then run:

/opt/csw/bin/pkgutil -U
/opt/csw/bin/pkgutil -i wget

Edit your /etc/default/login and /etc/default/su and change the PATH and SUPATH to include /opt/csw/bin.

Reboot.

Now, you can type pkgutil -i amarok and you would install a working version of Amarok for solaris.

in linux no_root_squash is there in nfs ....like any thing is there in solaris...........
ie the remote client root need full privilege on mounted directories
