Sun Type 6 Mouse (Crossbow) broken?

Hello,
I'll already apologize for my question, as it'll probably be hurting for an expert.
About two years ago I obtained a used Sun Ultra 10 with many accessoires for a very low price. I'm not much into UNIX (or rather not into it at all), but I wanted to play around a bit with it, especially as it is equipped with a SunPCI-coprocessor-card. Worked fine.
Unfortunately due to low free time, the Sun Ultra 10 caught much dust. Today I powered on this thing again and everything worked, except of the mouse. I also tried booting from a Solaris 7 CD - mouse also doesn't react there. So is it safe to assume it's broken, or might I have made a wrong setting somehow? Unfortunately I cannot test via obdiag - keeps telling me about an external loopback device required or something like that. I just know it worked before. But it's possible the mouse was hit by a license plate falling of the fall once (I have some as decoration)

If it's broken - what should be the price of a used Type 6 mouse in your opinion?

Thanks in advance and sorry again for this question. Have a nice weekend!

It could be broken and I really can't think of any good way to test it. They usually run about €20-€30 used on ebay ( quoted in euro since you appear to be in europe ) , but you might be lucky and someone here might have a spare they are willing to donate.

My friends most likely don't even know what a Sun Workstation is. Okay, I also wouldn't claim, that I knew, but at least I own one and also learned how to manually boot it Smilie

Well, I guess I have to wait some time (not that it would matter much). Considering I bought the whole box including Keyboard, Mouse, Tower, Coprocessor-Card and so on for about 80 or 90 EUR spending 20 EUR for a lousy mouse really is a no go Smilie
