pkgadd woes

Morning all,

I am attempting to load a package from a Solaris 8 CDROM.

This fails with the error :

"pkgadd: ERROR: unable to access pkgmap file </cdrom/ .........../SUNWlibC/pkgmap>

No changes were made to the system"

Any help would be appreciated

Andy

How did you invoke pkgadd?
# 3

/usr/sbin/pkgadd -d /cdrom/........./pkg SUNWlibc
# 4

The package name is SUNWlibC (case dependant).

Sorry, that's a typo in this thread.
I entered it correctly on the actual command line :

/usr/sbin/pkgadd -d /cdrom/......./pkg SUNWlibC
