VVR-> you're referring to SRDF replication right?

And you know.. booting an x86 with a cdrom is so troublesome unlike the spark systems where you can easily get your notebook connected via serial and issuing boot option via ok> prompt... I had a hard time with keyboard and monitor and time was running out..

Pupp: fyi, i was not even able to login as any other user. and also, user a/cs are using NIS , so it did not work either. what are the steps to check kerberos settings and to disable them? Im not going to do that now, but would like to know if you've any good tips/tricks Smilie

anyway, i have an x86 box and haven't had that much trouble with it. it was pretty painless to install. other then a few problems understanding fdisk for partitioning and such, no real troublesome issues. it just seems as if they have options that shouldn't be there which confused the hell outta me.

yea i too would like to know a bit more about how all those issues interact with each other.

And are ppl aware of in solaris 10, if your Veritas dg is not imported successfully after, lets say a reboot, you won't be able to ssh. your inetd daemon will be offlined and you wont be able to restart them. It don't work. Anyone knows why this is the behaviour of veritas? is this a security breach or vice versa.. Im facing alot of issues bros!! Smilie

You will notice that your system is at run level 3 but your remote logins wont work. Its been happening on solaris 9 and 10 VCS clusters quite regularly...
