impact of upgrading the SOLARIS OS from 5.6to 5.8
Please give me some idea about the impact of upgrading the SOLARIS OS from 5.6 to 5.8.
We are using object store database of version 5.1. will there be any impact on this.

Please help me in this regard.

I have no expertise on obj db 5.1 . What I can suggest is for you to build up a Solaris 8 OS on a spare machine, deploy your apps and test if it works.. There are pretty much difference between sol 6 and 8. But I won't think that your app will be affected by a Solaris 8 upgrade. what system will you be using, memory upgrade, OS integrity all comes into question.. layman tech speaking wise, it should work. You can test and let us know..Smilie
