Intermittent Connection and Samba problem

Hi all ,

I just installed a Solaris10 on x86 machine , running on vmware . I was able to telnet from my local machine to the solaris ( the one running on the vmware) , but the connection was pretty slow and intermittent . Is there any setting that I should customize to ensure the telnet connection alive ?

My second question is about samba . I enable the samba package and configured smb.conf . The service was able to start . but after few while the samba service gone and i need to manually start back the samba ..

Is there anything wrong ? or i might be missing any steps after the fresh installation of the solaris10 ? Appreciate your advice . TQ guys

regards

Search this forum, I posted about an answer to a previous thread with details of a problem with the default vmware network device, and the one that people suggest to use instead.
