Hi!
I am now setting up a samba server. However, it seems that the samba password file (smbpasswd) is separted with the system one (/etc/passwd).
Is there any method to login the samba, either from windows or form unix, by using the password stored in /etc/passwd ?

Hi all...
I have a wired problem of a "swat" processes creating "lpstat -v" processes that are making my samba get stuck until i kill the "lpstat -v" procceses...
why the "swat" is making these procceses? is there any way of fixing it?

When pinging the print server from unix is comes up with host not connected, but after a few moments the ping reply is positive
