Internet Explorer for UNIX (Mainsoft specific)

Hi, I need some help with the Windows derived version of the IE port for UNIX on Solaris.

The file is "ie5setup.sunos5"

Here is the message

Code:
Unsupported Operating System

Application needs to run on Solaris 2.5 or higher.

Please visit www.microsoft.com/ie/unix for more information

(not word-for-word)

I know that this is an outdated version of IE, but just curious Smilie

Thanks.

It has been since 2002 since the site was down. I am wondering if anyone had any luck with it. I heard that it has something to do with the uname command.

Although this message appears, the binary still run with a current
Solaris 10.

Just modify the iexplorer launcher script not to exit.

SunOS 5.10 is not currently supported.

Thanks for quick replies!

Yeah, however, how do you use uname for example for an installer script?

Sorry for the confusion Smilie

I was wanting to know how to edit the installer script. Does that take a regular compiler? I am a newbie to Solaris, so any help would be appreciated!
