That looks like the give away, it's having problems with the named font.

What X server/terminal are you using?

Hello - I am using xming and putty to connect the server.

Are you doing a full login to CDE or Gnome on Solaris?

Eg, I do

Code:
XWin -query solaris-hostname

Can you use "xfontsel" on Solaris to confirm you can use the font?

You may need to either install more fonts for your xming environment or use a font server.

Sorry I could not test font related commands - I had missed to set kernel parameters in /etc/systems , modified it and then did #reboot from root. Looks like I am not able to get the server back now :-( Could I do something now ?

I think your priority is to get the server up and running.
