Solaris 10 installation on X86

During installation on the desktop the error message crops up.
"Failed to initialize hotplug controllers".
Any help.
Thanks.

Check for unsupported hardware.

For hotplug I would think about PCMCIA adapters, USB controllers and devices, and hot swappable SCSI.

Also for my Solaris 10 I had to remove a serial modem and a soundboard before I could get the system going, I also chose a classic supported PCI ethernet card.

try this:

http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/device_detect.html

and

http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/install_check.html

The later link takes you to a page(Requires a sunsolve login account) where you can download an iso file, burn it and
boot your system from it. It will then check and report the compatibility of your system for
Solaris 10 on x86.
