Veritas - multiple devices with same name
After removing a disk for replacement in Veritas (vdiskadm 4), the Sun engineer offlined the disk, and physically replaced it. After that there were two entries with the same device name. I have tried removing the disks with vxdisk rm and ran vxdctl enable, but nothing helps

vxdisk list showed

Is your post incomplete? I don't see two devices with the same name in the list. A "vxprint" for the affected diskgroup would be far more useful than a vxdisk list.

The repeated device names in vxdisk list are
c1t2d0s2
Both entries have a staus of error

Is it possible to create the CDROM device file for a drive attached to the parallel port?
