this problem has been solved thanks.

I'm wanting to put 3 os's (windows xp pro, sun solaris 10 and linux fedora) all on one hd is this possable to do without doing anything to the kernal or anything like that?

I have one machine with 32bit Solaris 10 and six other operating systems, Solaris uses grub. No changes to any kernels.

Windows XP will be your most problematic.

ok, this problem has been resolved.

How do i create new users in Solaris 10, sounds silly but its the first time away from windows, linux is easy but this has got me.

Start the Solaris Management Console and do it through the GUI. Sluggish but works well. It's on the CDE desktop.

It shouldn't be any different from linux. The command is the same (assuming that you are using the linux command line). And if you aren't, you really should be.

ok, thanks, i'v kinda got it,

does solaris 10 have a firewall, internet security and internet antivirus as standed, if so how do i activeate it and moniter these?

if not what kind is recommened and where can i download these from?
