Solaris

I have an ultra 10 system, and am trying to install and verify a previously cloned hard drive, to make sure it works, that it really is a duplicate of the hard drive currently on an other server, etc.

I plugged in this cloned hard drive as master, only drive in the system.

No network LAN connections attached. The system hostname is CBX-svr

The hard drive is seen on power-up, and boots up partially and the system hangs at this message:

Cbx-svr sendmail [220]: unable to qualify my own domain name (cbx-svr) -- using short name

At this point the system hangs.

Suggestions, tips ?

System is solaris 5.8

I am able to boot to single user mode,....but am unsure what to do next after I am there, to fix the normal boot-up problem

..... but I'm just trying to learn Solaris Sysadmin stuff, so any tips, guidance and helps for this novice will be gratefully accepted !

do you have NFS mounts in your /etc/vfstab?

here is what I see - it matches the vfstab file in the "original" hard drive, and also to a 2nd cloned drive that is in another ultra 10 ( wiil boot up when not connected to network) located next to this one that won't boot:
