Php install problems..

Hi.. I am running solaris 9 on an x86 server.
I already have apache up and running successfully for several months now

Server version: Apache/1.3.31 (Unix)
Server built: Aug 19 2004 09:30:33

We also have mysql installed and running:
Your MySQL connection id is 4631211 to server version: 5.0.18-max

I have been asked to install PHP which I did using pkgadd with php-4.4.5-sol9-x86-local

However - when I try to run php - i get an error, I think its to do with libraries but dont know what to do next - any help??

I'm not 100% sure, but I would guess it's that the mysql library used when compiling PHP conflicts with your system. You can try to recompile PHP pointing to the MySQL installation on your system, and try whether that works for you.

Bug

I don't really think so that SQL would be an issue. please check for an updated php package on the freeware site for x64 intel machines Smilie

Just install this patch --> 114421-03 (SunOS 5.9_x86: Multiterabyte Disk Support - libadm.so.1 patch)
Install in Single User Mode
Reboot after installation
You can try running your php...let me know

Did you try recompiling PHP yourself?
