I have several servers that are outside the country and are running Solaris 6 mainly with a few Solaris 7 boxes here and there. Because of that, we need to schedule time to change the time on March 11th and again in April, October and November. At least until the customer decides it's time to upgrade. But about half the servers are outside the US borders.
Do these servers (GMT, SGT, and JST) need to be changed? Do servers outside the country but in a US like timezone get changed? We have a few servers in St. Thomas which are using the EST time zone. Are they following the US DST, no DST or are they following the old DST
Basically I can see from a logical standpoint that the ones outside the US entirely don't need to be changed. But the ones in St. Thomas (EST) are a big question. The systems are production with lots of bucks depending on them. I'd like to have a nice definitive source somewhere
Thanks.
