compress disk on Solaris 9

Is is possible to create a compress volume on a Solaris 9 machine? If so what are my options? btw, I do not have Veritas Volume Manager

I really meant to say solaris 8, or even 10. Does anyone really use Solaris 9???

I'm guessing that there is no good option for this.

In Solaris 10, zfs has some compression attributes that I have never experimented with. You can try to take a look at that.
