remove an entry in crontab
Hi
I have a crontab file of only 1 entry. When I edit it and delete the line, then do crontab -l, the crontab still show the entry that is supposed to be deleted.

I did crontab -r to remove the crontab.

Is there a way to delete just one entry in the crontab??

The man page of crontab is very clear about that:

If you still want to have the crontab file, you can put in a place holder line that is hashed out and clearly says that it is a place holder, not intended to do anything and should not be modified.
