in.timed log entries

Hi there, my logs are being filled up with the following

Code:
Nov 30 05:16:08 my-box in.timed[27878]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from localhost
Nov 30 05:16:09 my-box in.timed[27880]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from my-other-box
Nov 30 05:16:10 my-box in.timed[27887]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from my-other-box
Nov 30 05:16:10 my-box in.timed[27891]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from localhost
Nov 30 05:16:12 my-box in.timed[27898]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from localhost
Nov 30 05:16:13 my-box in.timed[27903]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from localhost
Nov 30 05:16:14 my-box in.timed[27908]: [ID 927837 daemon.info] connect from localhost

Does anybody know what in.timed is, and what would be causing so many log entries

any help would be greatly appreciated

not sure but I think it's like ntp, trying to sync the system time with a master. I could only google for something that runs on aix, not sun. Is your box syncing time with an aix box?
