Solaris 10 using cachefs to access cd-rom on remote system
How do I use cachefs to access a cd-rom drive on another computer?
I have googled it but it seems like I can only find out how to use cachefs on a local system.
**update
Okay now that I have it mounted, how do I access the files on the mounted cd-rom on the remote system.
This is what I have done so far, please let me know if I did anything wrong:
Server: the computer with the cd-rom
Workstation: the client that's accessing the cd-rom remotely
Server:
1. cdrom is already mounted by default, no mounting is done.
2. share /cdrom #cdrom location: /cdrom
client:
1. cfsadmin -c /cdcache
2. mkdir /cdmount
3. mount -F cachefs -o backfstype=nfs,cachedir=/cdcache server:/local/cd-rom /cdmount
