Hi,

where can I check the system boot up log file like those message when the system booting up....

What OS? For such questions, always post the output of the 'uname -a' command. You can mask the hostname with 'xxxxx' if you want.

the output if unaem -a is

You should be able to get messages in the /var/adm/messages file. You may also get files such as /var/adm/messages.0, messages.1 and so on. (.1 older than .0, .0 older than messages).

use "dmesg" to display the startup message of system.

Hi sir,

Btw..If solaris 10 where can I find the dmesg? except this question...I want to ask which log file can I see if my tape drive (FC , SATA or SCSI) have been detected by OS?

It's the same command in Solaris 10 (dmesg).
I use cfgadm -al to display tapes.
