Add a new user to a vt100 profile

Hello Team,

I am trying to add a user a9acd012 and the user has to be added to two groups in unix and two groups in windows,

Also i want to give the user vt100 profile when i create the user.Can anyone here help me with the command please.Thanks in advance.

It depends quite what you mean and how you are set up. Is the unix server referencing an external security table, e.g. AD or NIS+

You second point about a vt100 profile, is again a bit vague. Do you mean that you want the TERM value to be vt100? You could achieve this in a number of ways, for instance:-
  • Edit the .profile of the user in question
  • Change /etc/profile to recognise the groups that your account is in and set the value
  • or others ....

Can you explain more about what you are trying to achieve?
