I have updated the .login and .profile files for my user account with the information that was posted originally (PATH configuration), and all is well in the world of Solaris Smilie
It isn't easy learning how to use UNIX (and become a system administrator) without having taken any classes of having any formal training, but I figure that it is providing me with some invaluable learning lessons.
I'm also glad that this forum exists, and that there are people out there that are willing to take the time to help others out.

"find . -printf" without prepended "." path? Getting path to current working directory?

If I enter (simplified): find . -printf "%p\n" then all files in the output are prepended by a "." like ./local/share/test23.log How can achieve that a.) the leading "./" is omitted and/or b.) the full path to the current directory is inserted (enclosed by brackets and a blank)... (1 Reply)

install-solaris - install the Solaris operating system SYNOPSIS
install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
