I am looking for an alternative for adobe flash player plugin to solaris firefox browser since adobe no longer supports it in solaris. Could someone tell me if there is one.
Just to be honest, flash under Solaris couldn't support "everything" even when "supported". So I suppose the good news is that some of the open source flash attempts might actually come closer to being "Solaris flash" since it was always a bit limited anyhow. I'm actually surprised that somebody is using Solaris as a client/desktop, you are dying breed.
Getting gnash to work with lastest firefox on Solaris could require getting the sources and doing some builds (unless somebody else has already done the work).

I am completely new to Unix and have a quick question...
I have a client that wants me to develop Flash Commercials and Presentations. My question is, does the Linux Flash Player work on the Unix platform?
Thanks in advance for your responses! (1 Reply)
