Installing NIC and configuring dhcp

Hi all,

I just install solaris10 at home to learn b4 taking the sun courses. Can't get the internet on my IntelPC. I'm using cable thru SMC ezcard 10/100. I ran ifconfig -a and it only shows lo0. No hme0.

Pls help.

Sorry that doesn't help.
Anyway I tried sys-unconfig yet it still give the same result.
Perhaps something to do with enabling dhcp?

Update:
Check thru dhcpmgr ... it does not detect my NIC.
Check HCL from Sun, my NIC is inside.
Check hardware detection at boot, it shows my PCI: ethernet controller.
Check IRQ - no nonflict

Somebody pls help. Smilie

See this thread - note I found it using a search of solaris and network. See the links in the thread - should help you find your answer.

Thanks RTM. That's a new approach.
I'll give it a try and provide detail result if it fails.
