looking at the biggest "unix"mashine you can get from IBM, that would be a IBM eServer p5 595, with up to 64 CPUs and 2TB RAM; the "old" p690 with 32 p4 and 1 TB RAM. looking to HP, 128 PA-8900 with 1 TB. SGI uses a technologie named SGI NUMAflex there you can combine up to 512 CPUs and 1TB in one image.

so noone can prove that AIX can handle 64 TB, it makes no sense to talk about theorical supported memory, right now no unix has a chance to get more than the hardware provide ;-) when we will have 64TB RAM to use, we have new releases of the unix derivates...

Ach so!, danke für ihre Antwort, stützt z.B. AIX in der Architektur 16TB des Gedächtnisses, die Beschränkung auf den SUN Solaris ist über ein Terabyte?

Oh so!, e.g. does AIX in architecture 16TB of the memory thank, the restriction by the SUN Solaris is over a Terabyte for its answer, does support?
