hi...
how to test sun server ultra enterprise if i don;t have a monitor from cpu, bcs it doesn't has a video module.

is it possible if i don;t know any login to solaris OS within this cpu?
and i don't even know the ip address of this server/
sound silly, hehe.., maybe it is possible because i bought it from e-bay and they said they test it using laptop.
i don't know how to do they way...
sound impossible for me...

If you don't know the IP address you'll need to use the serial port to attach to the system console. That is what they meant by using a laptop - connect the laptop with a serial cable and use the laptop keyboard and screen to access the Solaris console.

I don't remember all the commands and steps off the top of my head, but I know you can use the command "tip" to set up the serial port session once you have the laptop connected. Google on tip + solaris + serial and I bet you'd find some instructions.
