Errors while booting

sol10 sendmail [574]: unable to qualify domain name (local host) ---- using short name

Have you made ipconfig or sendmail configuration changes?

I am assuming the system booted. Can you make connections into the box via tcp (ssh or ftp or telnet, etc.) Out bound connections? It looks like the domain name is " My".

sendmail wants a 3 part name like this in etc/hosts for the name of the box:

my.homedomain.com

(example only). You can put almost anything in there just to get past the error.

shutup_sendmail

this is a feature in Jet to prevent these sendmail annoyance, just add FQDN on its line in the hosts file, if you have no fqdn, add hostname.local. that will shut it up

I am new to Solaris.. i have installed in my home pc....Please can u help me in details to rectify this error...what commands should i use...
