solaris printing problem

When I send a print job to a printer I've created on Solaris 9, the page has a black border. How can I get rid of it?

if it's happening on all printouts,

a. check the printer hardware
b. check printer settings

if it's happening on some specific print jobs only, check the input file(s)

I've deleted the printer and created it again, this time not specifying any drivers. It seems to have solved the border problem.
