Hello,

Prepare that disk for creating the partitions first. So, instead of using
"partition" , use "fdisk" -
Code:
format> fdisk

All the best Smilie

it gives me this result :
format> fsck
`fsck' is not expected.

here's methods how I created(added) the second partition on which I wish to learn how creat and mount partition to file system.

At first,i've installed solaris 10 on vmware workstation :

click on virtual machine settings
choose :add hard disk (IDE)==>hard disk
next==>creat a new virtual disk
==>Next
sci (only scsi disks can bie added while VM is powerd on)
==>Next
maximum size(GB) :2
==>NEXT
==>Finish

# devfsadm

the new partition added appears here :

# format

Hi,

I am a bit confused here about what actually you are trying to do !!! Smilie
Code:
it gives me this result :
format> fsck
`fsck' is not expected.

Please read my previous post, try "fdisk" first and then "part"
