Error Help with Solaris 10 - Patching Inactive Boot
Hi
I have a Sun M4000 with 1 Global and 4 non-global zones running Solaris. the downtime to apply the latest Recommend Patch Cluster is about 8hrs. The client will not give me the downtime.

I want to use PATCHING TO INACTIVE BOOT ENVIRONMENT method and need urgent assistance.

I have a RPOOL mirrored environment. Can anyone assist? I would like to detach the mirror and use the 2nd detached disk as the disk to patch. How will the non-global zones get patched?

lucreate -c <actual_rootpool_name> -n <new_rootpool_name>

whit this command you create a new boot environment in the actual root-pool.
after that you can apply the patches in the <new_rootpool_name> with the following command:

luupgrade -t -n <new_rootpool_name> -s /path/to/patches

try it first on a test environment...

Can not boot after patching.

Last night I installed some patches by using update manager on my solaris 10 on AMD 64. Now I cannot boot. It is keep failing.
