Two file are auto generated from mon - fri at different directories on same windows box.Every day i have to copy the file, rename it (specific name)and ftp it to linux box specified directory.

Hi,
I've been able to mount my linux box to a windows machine, but I can't seem to mount my linux box to another linux box I have. (I know I could scp, but for other reasons I need to do it this way) Samba is installed.
Here is an example where I mount to a Win machine.--> works fine

Check Solaris VM Databases metadb does not have enough information about logical volumes. Current value is 0%
I have checked the SVM status, all disks are good state and synched perfectly. no errors in metadb -i.
what is this alert exact mean? what we have to check for the value?

Hi,
I need a clarification.
Is there any difference between AIX box and Sun Solaris box?
The bzip command with -c option works in AIX box and the same does not work in Sun Solaris box.
Can anyone please explain if there is an implementation difference in both these boxes for the shell... (1 Reply)

When I try to connect to databse from HP box using the following command
sqlplus <username>@<databasename>
I get this error message:
ksh: <database name> : not found
I can connect to the database outside the UNIX box using sqlplus though.
