The sendmail errors are harmless. The scsi corrupt label one is unexpected.

However, the OS is installed and seems to be operational.

Just log in and run "svcs -xv" to see if something else is affected.

You can ignore these errors.

Your system is trying to resolve it's own DNS lookup (that's just the way Solaris behaves) and it can't do it.

You need to tell your system where it's DNS server is and ensure that DNS server knows about your system.

Failing that, you just ignore these errors. Loads of us in the solaris community already do.

Also, yes, the scsi error needs looking at.

I'd say that you have a hard drive on the system which is either faulty or doesn't have a Sun label. Try the format command to write a label.

You can get rid of the (harmless) sendmail errors by putting the FQDN of the server in /etc/hosts:

192.168.1.2 foo foo.bar.com

or simply disable sendmail (if yoo not need email on the system) using
Code:
svcadm disable sendmail

That's not a SCSI error, it's just an unlabelled drive (drive without a Solaris label).

What does this show when run as root:

Code:
echo | format

(the "echo" will cause the format command to end after it lists all the drives)
