import lun data to mount point - Solaris 10

Hi Guys,

I have EMC Storage and from this storage I have maped lun5 to Sun Solaris server and I have created on this lun mount point with name /application

I have anothere Sun Solaris server and I'll colne lun5 to lun10 from storage level so the data of lun5 will be in lun10

how to can I import the data which is in lun10 to be mounted as /application in the new server the lun already maped as disk to the new server

How to can I import it with same data with the same mount point ?

Pls your advice ...

You didn't understand my question... Solaris supports two disk filesystem types: UFS and ZFS. We have to know which filesystem type you used for your "/application".

We are colleagues and we are working in the same thing anyway i got the point by doing the following ..

lun name is : emcpower15a

just to add the below to /etc/vfstab

/dev/dsk/emcpower15a /dev/rdsk/emcpower15a /application ufs 3 yes -

then mountall ...

This is how to import and mount the lun with contain data to specific mount point in solaris .

That's all ..
