RSC vulneabilities

I have a disk failure in a V280, the support tech asked for explorer output and rsc information
sc>showsc
rsc>environment
rsc>loghistory
rsc>consolehistory
rsc>version -v
since RSC is not a secure connection, I am not comfortable with providing this information for a disk failure. I've never been requested to provide this before, should I be this paranoid?

If you are security conscious you can configure RSC card modem to have dial-in connections rather than internet.
The connection between you and him would be some how secure. Bare in mind security in here is relative . after he finishes his task you can disconnect the line from the RSC card or attach it to some sort of private LAN

Right, dial in is the preferred method but at this location, there is no external access allowed. I realize now that they were probably asking for RSC info just in case they had to connect to the RSC to do analysis. Thanks.
