Solaris 10 won't boot up "Cannot load drivers for /pci@400.....

This is the error message that I am getting on a Solaris 10 sparc server

Code:
scsi: no major number
cannot load drivers for /pci@400.....
Can't load the root filesystem
Type 'go' to resume
{0} ok

Is there a way for me to correct this issue. It looks like I am missing a scsi driver to boot up the server? Is there a way to boot into single user mode, mount the filesystem and rediscover the hardware, etc.....

if this is Solaris-10, you should be able to boot it with
HTML Code:
boot -F failsafe
. What changes were made, before this problem ?

Solaris 10 startup

This is a bare metal restore to a dissimilar hardware. So I am not sure if the kernel needs to be rebuilt, like in RHEL? Will the failsafe work in this case?

Try booting from Solaris-10 DVD

It is almost certain that you will need a new kernel at a minimum.

You're better off just doing a fresh install of the OS, and then restoring files you need individually such as /etc/hosts, /etc/hostname.*, /etc/resolv.conf, other files, etc...
