Question Installation problem: Solaris 10
Hello all,
I downloaded Solaris 10 and installed it on my Pentium 4 (1.7 Ghz), 256MB RAM, with LG StudioWorks Monitor. Everything went fine till installation completed and when after installation computer rebooted, rather than displaying the graphical login screen the monitor goes out of frequency.
Any suggestions!!!

I got to know the answer of the problem,
Actually the problem was with my monitor as it is not supported by the software. Then I changed the monitor and tried again and guess what? Now it worked well.

I had the same problem when I loaded Linix on my PC.... Issue was not video card but the monitor not being able to display highest setting for the video card in my machine. It is very possible if you have a older monitor with a new PC. Try changing video setting to 1280x1024 or less then try old monitor.

with solaris10 you have a new option. you can choose your default xserver. try xorg than xsun, perhabs you will have more luck with your other monitor
