Hi all,

this time i face a problem in x6270 server. there are two x6270 servers connected to two different M6000 chasis and both are in cluster mode.

Everything was running fine, but suddenly i am not able to ping one of the server. The Amber light is glowing on the server and the green light is blinking.

So i checked through the GUI and found that therer is error in one of the DIMM. I clear the error,so that the amber was gone but the green light was blinking means not stable.

So i checked the console,there i found the following error.

Un-correctable DRAM ECC Error Detected at CPU00/Chanel101/DIMM00
Press F1 to resume (Ctrl+Q from Serial Console )

After that i Press F1 ,it took some time and finally it boots. Now i was able to login to that server.


After two days , i face the same problem means the amber is coming in the same server.


Is that due to faulty DIMM or any other issue.

just open a ServiceRequest....

But this time it shows errors in "CPU00/Channel01/DIMM01".

I also did the same process, clears the faults in ILOM GUI and boot the server from console. Now it is booting and working fine.

But i don't understad one thing last time it shows error in DIMM0 now this time it shows errors in DIMM01. And after 3 to4 days it was going down. Though the server is not live but used in testing purpose..

Can someone help me why it occures..

because they are working on the same channel.
why not open a ServiceRequest @ oracle??

on step you can try is two swap the "faulty" dimm with two others... only to see if the "error" moves or stay at the same location...
