sendmail problem, Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

one of our sparc servers is having this problem:

Code:
Jun 27 13:05:00 sparki sendmail[12629]: [ID 801593 mail.info] p5: from=root, size=309, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<201106271305.p5@sparki>, relay=root@localhost
Jun 27 13:05:00 sparki sendmail[12629]: [ID 801593 mail.info] p5: to=root, ctladdr=root (0/0), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=30309, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

how to solve it?
other servers don't have such problem, and mail is not used.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say.

iirc, I solved that sendmail problem simply by modifying crontab so that it doesn't try to send command output with sendmail.

Do you have a mail relay configured in your server, look for mailhost in /etc/hosts.

If not there then add the entry and restart sendmail.

It needs to communicate to a mail server to send mails.

The above error comes when mailhost is set to localhost [127.0.0.1].
