shared memory overlapping
hey guys,

i'm having trouble with a real time multi threaded program that uses lots of shared memory on solaris 8. it sometime crashes out of the blue, a randomness that suggests some sort of memory leak or shared memory overlap.
any tips? freeware or otherwise useful software?
any way i can check with dbx for specific memory address changes (the base memory for all shared is always the same)?
do you know of any other tool that enables me to watch specific memory address?

How does it crash? And why does this suggest shared memory overlapping?

bad data in address
that's the formal reason. the programs looks at the place it should and finds garbage.
it just seems like some other program sharing the same shared memory space updates data that it shouldn't touch.

suggestions?
