New interactive installation

I just took delivery of an Ultra Sparc 60 box. I tried to install Solaris 10 from the cdrom by issuing the following command at ok prompt: ok boot cdrom, and I am getting an error message that says: "Boot device: /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/disk@6,0:f File and args: can't open boot device. What am I looking at here? Could the cdrom drive be bad, or did I get a bad copy of the os.

Thanks in advance for helping me out.

check the OS compatibility of this hardware. Probably you are trying a unsupported version of OS

New installation problem

SmilieI am trying to do a new install of solaris 10 on ultra sparc 60 with dual hard drives of 18g each, and 450mhz. At first, I was getting an error message which is in my original post. I think that problem is now resolved, but now I have a new problem. The installation hangs up at select a language, it does not allow me to make a choice. None of the digits given work - from 0-9.

Below is the original problem and solution:
I was trying to install from a dvd, while my box came with a cdrom drive. 1st it was difficult to get the installation cds, but as soon as I used the installation cd the installation started.
